Tour wedges
RTZ is the current flagship, built with Z-Alloy construction. Grinds include FULL, MID, LOW and the full-face ADAPT grind, which covers most turf conditions and swing types.
RTX 6 ZipCore sits below RTZ now but remains a highly regarded wedge and is still available. It is not a lesser club so much as a previous flagship.
RTX Full-Face 2 carries UltiZip grooves across the entire face rather than only in the centre.
Cavity-back wedges
CBX4 ZipCore is the current generation of Cleveland’s cavity-back wedge — built specifically for golfers who play cavity-back irons and want the transition into their wedges to be continuous rather than abrupt.
CBZ Full-Face combines cavity-back forgiveness with grooves across the full face.
This category is more useful to more golfers than the tour wedges, and it gets a fraction of the attention.
Maximum-forgiveness wedges
Smart Sole Full Face has a very wide sole, built for golfers who genuinely struggle from sand and thick rough.
Halo XL Full-Face uses a hybrid-influenced design for the same audience.
These are not beginner clubs to be embarrassed about. They are specialist tools for a specific and very common problem.
Drivers, woods, hybrids and irons
The Launcher XL family covers the rest of the bag, including Launcher XL Halo woods, hybrids and irons.
Worth saying plainly: Cleveland’s metalwoods and irons are a much smaller part of the brand than its wedges. They are competent, forgiveness-focused clubs aimed at moderate swing speeds. They are not where Cleveland’s expertise is concentrated.
Putters
Cleveland makes putters, and they lean toward high-MOI, alignment-friendly designs rather than tour-shaped blades.
The Srixon relationship
Cleveland and Srixon share a parent company, Dunlop, and divide the range deliberately. Srixon builds the long game; Cleveland builds wedges and putters.
That is why Srixon has no wedge line, and why a Cleveland wedge under a Srixon iron set is a designed pairing rather than a compromise.
Buying tip: If you are looking at Cleveland, start with the wedges. That is where the brand is genuinely class-leading, and the rest of the range is a different proposition.
