Golf course reviews
What Makes Great Golf Course Reviews?
The best reviews explain who a course suits, what it costs, and how it actually plays.

Specific beats dramatic
Great reviews do not just say “amazing” or “terrible.” They explain the golf. Were the greens quick but fair? Did the fairways have thin lies? Were bunkers playable? Did the back nine slow to a crawl?
A strong review includes
- Tees played and how long the course felt.
- Whether misses were playable or punished severely.
- How greens rolled and accepted approach shots.
- Whether staff, pace, and facilities matched the price.
Fairness matters
A course can be excellent and still wrong for your group. Narrow fairways and fast greens may thrill low handicappers and exhaust beginners. “Great for confident drivers who like target golf” is more useful than “hard course.”
End with a verdict
Would you play it again? At what price? With which group? “I would return at twilight with better players, but not for a beginner’s first 18” tells golfers exactly what they need.
