Golf stance
How to Practice Golf Stance Under Pressure
How to make stance hold up when there’s water right, a card in your pocket, or a match on the line.

Practice with consequences
Pressure practice for stance should feel a little uncomfortable. Pick a target, set a pass-fail rule, and make yourself restart when you miss. That’s closer to golf than raking another ball over and hoping the next one behaves.
Try this mini-test:
- Choose a fairway, green, or putting gate.
- Hit three balls with your full routine.
- Score one point for your intended start line and one for solid contact.
- Don’t leave until you reach six points out of six.
Why it works
The routine matters as much as the mechanics. You’re training the decision, the breath, and the swing together.
