Before you go

Confirm the tee time, dress code, payment method, and whether the course is walking-friendly. Pack balls, tees, a marker, sunscreen, and a refillable bottle. If you are new, tell the shop or starter; most municipal courses would rather help you start smoothly than watch you feel lost.

On the course

1. Be ready when it is your turn.
