Track in shorthand

You do not need a spreadsheet on the 7th green. Mark first-putt distance as S, M, or L; note three-putts; circle missed putts inside six feet. After the round, the pattern will be obvious enough.

What to avoid

Do not track ten categories if you will stop after two rounds. Start small and stay consistent.

  • Short misses: start line or nerves.
  • Long first putts: approach proximity or lag speed.
  • Repeated three-putts: speed control.

Review at home

The scorecard is for playing. The analysis can wait until the clubhouse or couch.
