Three heads, and the differences are larger than the shared number suggests.
859
The 460cc head, built around Axis of Rotation Technology with a carbon crown and toe section and adjustable weights. The face sits around half a degree closed in the neutral setting, giving a neutral-to-slight-draw bias.
This is the forgiveness option and the right default for most golfers. A larger head with more perimeter stability protects the strikes that are not centred, which is most of them for most players.
859 Pro
The 450cc head — more compact, lower spinning, with a slight fade bias from a face sitting about a degree open in neutral. The sound is quieter and more traditional.
Aimed at better players who want tighter dispersion and more control, and particularly at golfers who fight a hook. The fade bias is a genuine help there rather than a marketing distinction.
859 JD
Also 450cc and fade-biased, developed with John Daly’s input, with the emphasis on speed and forgiveness together.
Worth testing if you like the compact profile of the Pro but want more help on off-centre strikes.
The bias question is the real decision
The three heads differ most in face angle and bias, and that is unusual — most brands differentiate mainly on spin. Here, choosing correctly is largely about your miss.
Slice or a weak fade? Take the standard 859. Hook or a strong draw you cannot stop? Take the Pro or the JD.
Know your actual numbers first
Because you are ordering rather than hitting six heads in a shop, walking in with data matters more than usual.
