Beginner vs Advanced Approaches to Weight Transfer

Scale pressure-shift work from basic balance to refined sequencing.

Beginners: finish on the lead side

A newer golfer does not need force-plate language. They need to feel the trail side load in the backswing and the body finish toward the target. If the finish is balanced and the divot moves forward, progress is happening.

Advanced players: sequence the shift

Better players can refine when pressure moves, how the lead leg posts, and how rotation follows the shift. They may work on ground reaction, vertical force, or matching driver launch with iron compression.

Golfer Main focus Watch out for
Beginner Balanced finish Falling backward
Improving Low point control Sliding instead of turning
Advanced Timing and force Overusing legs without face control

Same athletic idea

Whether the language is simple or technical, the motion should look like sport. Load into the ground, move toward the target, and rotate through the strike.
