A players’ distance iron — forged feel, a reasonably clean shape, but with the speed and forgiveness of the Dynapower philosophy behind it.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>This is the right club for a golfer who is good enough to want a decent-looking iron but honest enough to know that a Staff Model CB would cost them shots. That describes a very large number of players.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Ch3>Dynapower\u003C\u002Fh3>\n\u003Cp>The mainstream game-improvement set. Wider sole, more offset, stronger lofts, more help on strikes low on the face and toward the toe.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>For a mid handicapper this is the sensible default. It gets the ball up, it holds distance on average strikes, and it does not demand anything from you technically.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Ch3>Dynapower Max\u003C\u002Fh3>\n\u003Cp>Super game improvement. The widest sole, the most offset, the strongest lofts and the most forgiveness in the range.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Aimed at golfers whose main problem is getting mid and long irons airborne at all. If your 6-iron runs along the ground more often than it flies, this is the correct tier and there is no case for anything above it.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Ch3>Choosing between them honestly\u003C\u002Fh3>\n\u003Cp>The usual error is choosing one tier up from where you belong because the head looks better at address. That is a real consideration — you will not swing freely at a club you dislike — but it is worth less than the height and distance you lose on every slightly heavy strike.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>If you are between Forged and standard Dynapower, hit both and look at the descent angle. The set that lands the ball steeply is the one that will hold greens.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Ch3>The loft question\u003C\u002Fh3>\n\u003Cp>Dynapower irons are strong-lofted, particularly in the Max. That produces good distance numbers and creates a large gap below the pitching wedge.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Find the pitching wedge loft before you plan your wedges. A set stopping at 43 degrees needs a different wedge setup than one stopping at 46.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cblockquote>\n\u003Cp>\u003Cstrong>Fitting tip:\u003C\u002Fstrong> Ask for the full loft chart across the set, not just the 7-iron number.
